ANSYS needs frequent licence updates. To do this: 

    Copy the licence file to */soft/ansys_inc/shared_files/licenses/* 

    Ssh –X to headnode2 and become root 

    Run `/soft/ansys_inc/shared_files/licensing/lic_admin/anslic_admin` 

    Select `‘Launch the ANSYS licence manager’` 

    In the web browser window select `‘Add a licence file’` 

    Select the file you copied 

    Select `‘reread’`. 

    Check that the licence manager is still running (green tick).
